Ontario Universities' Application Centre
A student may have their OSR residing at another public, Catholic, or private school while being registered for one or more courses with PCA. This student will complete an Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) 101 application through their home school. PCA will require the student to provide us with their OUAC Reference Number (YYYY-######) in order for PCA course information to be sent to OUAC. PCA will send all required documentation directly to OUAC on behalf of the student. There is no fee associated with this service.
A student whose OSR resides at PCA, who is currently earning the OSSD, and who wishes to apply to universities through an OUAC account is considered a 101 applicant. This student may request that PCA establish a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for them. Once PCA creates the PIN, it is emailed to the student along with the required information and application instructions. The student then uses this information to log in and create a 101 Application with OUAC. Once the student has applied, all academic information from Grades 11 and 12 will be uploaded to OUAC. PCA can provide additional guidance to students regarding the application process if required. The fee for this OUAC service is $180. Please note that this fee is separate from any fees that OUAC charges.
For students applying to post-secondary schools outside Ontario or students who are OUAC 105 applicants, PCA will communicate with up to three post-secondary institutions at no charge with a letter of enrolment, midterm report, and a final report. If a student wishes for PCA to communicate with more than three institutions, a fee of $30 is applicable for each additional school.
Plymouth Canadian Academy students applying to University through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre, OUAC, should take note of several critical dates on the OUAC website: Ontario Universities’ Application Centre Dates. Students must meet these dates to ensure that final marks are submitted on time. Late submissions are far less likely to be accepted by the Universities.Students should space out the submission of their assignments to avoid a last minute ‘en masse’ mailing to teachers. Remember, it takes almost as much time to mark an assignment as it does to write it.Note: Students must complete all assignments prior to the Mid-term before those marks can be submitted to the OUAC. In addition, all course assignments must be submitted to your teacher before the final exam is written, assignments handed in after the final exam will not be marked. Only after the completion of the entire course will final marks be sent to the OUAC.How to Apply to University with an OSSD you can check out PCA Guidance department for more information. PCA Guidance Departmentis dedicated to the success and well-being of every student at Plymouth Canadian Academy.
